Cherry Blueberry scones



Ingredients you'll need are
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup fat free butter milk
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoon cold butter cut in cubes
2 tablespoon brown sugar or 1 table spoon Pure Honey or for sugar free alternative use 2 tablespoon agave nectar
1 Organic egg
3/4 cup fresh blueberries
1/2 cup dried cherries

To make the Scones
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

Sift together the flour,salt and baking powder. Add the cold butter and using a fork mix in the flour. Stir in cherries and coat well in the flour. Make a well in the center and pour in the butter milk. Gently fold the mixture to combine everything. Mix in the blueberries and make none of the berries are mashed.

Sprinkle some all purpose flour on your work surface and press the dough in to circular shape. Cut circle half and each half in to 3 triangles. Lay the scones on an ungreased cookie sheet and brush with little cold milk.

Bake for 15 - 20 minutes until lightly brown. Serve with drizzle of pure honey or simply as is ,without any more addition of sugar.
